Various fees for park services could soon increase in Sacramento County if a proposal from the Regional Parks Department is approved, raising the cost of parking some vehicles up to $ 50.

The ministry is weighing price increases on a number of other services, including overnight camping permits and rental of indoor facilities. The cost of setting up a bounce house and amplifying the sound with a DJ or giving public speeches over speakers will also increase.

“Some of these charges have not been assessed or updated for 11 years,” county spokesman Ken Casparis said. “Parking fees, for example, have not been updated since 2010.”

County officials hope the adjustments will reflect changes in operating costs and inflation.

The Regional Parks Department will be accepting public comments until June 30 at [email protected] Afterwards, the proposal will be presented to the county’s recreation and parks commission, and officials hope it can be submitted to the supervisory board by the end of July, Casparis said.
